Jaw pain, clicking, headaches, and worn teeth can all signal a problem with the jaw joint or the way your teeth meet. We evaluate the joint, the muscles, and your bite to find the cause before recommending anything.
Dr. Dunn completed a year-long fellowship in medical competency for TMD and sleep dentistry, so jaw and airway problems are part of what he looks for.

Senior dental care
Your dental needs change as you age. We help manage dry mouth, protect the teeth and restorations you already have, and coordinate with your medical providers when your health history affects dental care.

Digital x-rays show cavities, bone loss, and other problems early, often before you feel anything. The images appear on screen right away, so we can show you what we see.

What are the signs of a TMJ or bite problem?
Jaw pain, clicking or popping, morning headaches, and teeth that look worn or chipped can all point to a TMJ or bite problem. We evaluate the jaw joint, the muscles, and how your teeth come together to find the cause.
Do you make custom night guards?
Yes. A night guard made from impressions of your teeth protects them from grinding and clenching. Store-bought guards fit loosely and can make clenching worse for some people.
Will I need a referral for TMJ treatment?
Often not. Many patients do well with a custom night guard or a bite adjustment here. When a case needs a specialist, we will tell you and coordinate the referral.
Can you help with dry mouth?
Yes. Dry mouth is common with many medications and raises the risk of cavities. We look at the likely cause, protect your teeth, and coordinate with your physician when it makes sense.
Do you adjust or repair dentures?
Yes. We adjust dentures that have started to rub or slip, and we can talk about implants to stabilize a loose denture. Restorative options.
I have a heart condition or joint replacement. Is dental treatment safe?
Usually, yes, though some patients need antibiotics before certain procedures. Read our premedication guidelines and tell us your history when you book.
Do you take x-rays at every visit?
No. We use digital x-rays and take them only when they will tell us something we need to know.
Will insurance cover a night guard?
Coverage varies by plan. We check your benefits and give you an estimate before treatment.
